Funke Gerber ColonyStar 8500 Digital Colony Counter with Colored Illumination

The Funke Gerber ColonyStar 8500 is a professional colony counter designed for accurate and effortless microbiological analysis. Equipped with glare-free, high-power LED illumination and a 145 mm diameter counting plate, it allows optimal visualization of colonies on Petri dishes. Both color (65 variants) and brightness (65 steps) of the illumination can be adjusted, ensuring perfect contrast for every sample.

Automatic counting is triggered via a pressure-sensitive plate, with adjustable sensitivity and optional acoustic feedback. The device supports Petri dishes up to 145 mm in diameter, with a reducing insert for smaller dishes. Ergonomically designed with an easy-to-clean casing, the ColonyStar 8500 reduces user fatigue and increases productivity in the laboratory.
